My solo road trip across the country has been nothing short of empowering. I packed Grover (my car) up to the gills and the momentous adventure began. Journeying alone allows for times of reflection, boredom and singing guilty pleasures at the top of your lungs. I must admit that I was extremely trepidatious to leave behind the known. However, my worries dissipated as I discovered new landscapes and met incredible people. The route I chose was indirect but allowed me the privilege to sleep among the trees, visit old friends, and look forward to my new life in California. I will embrace the adventure and continue to document the subtleties in the world that are too often overlooked.
