When should I book?
Amika Gair Photography takes on a very limited amount of sessions per month (6-8) to ensure the highest personalized customer experience and to not let any session feel rushed or overlooked. It is for this reason that we recommend booking 2 to 3 months before your due date to guarantee that you’re in our calendar. In the event that your baby has already arrived, please still reach out as we'd love to be able to fit you into our schedule, if at all possible.
How long does a session typically last?
A newborn session will last between 1.5 – 3 hours. This takes into account that your baby might need to be fed, soothed, have a diaper changed, and everything in between. Newborn sessions go with the baby’s flow. For maternity, milestone, or family sessions, expect them to take between 1 – 1.5 hours.
What should I bring?
Yourselves. We have everything we need to make beautiful and everlasting memories.
How old should the baby be for a newborn session?
A newborn session will take place between 8 to 21 days. This is the ideal age to get those super sleepy, squish-baby photos seen in my portfolio. Last minute sessions may take place up to 6 weeks but the posing will be more organic and the session will take place upon our availability.
